Having a tough time seeing while driving at night?

If you are having a hard time seeing at night while driving, it could be your headlights. Most headlights lenses today are made of a plastic composition, not glass as in years ago. The plastic often discolors and gets cloudy, dramatically reducing the amount light emanating from the headlight bulbs. In most cases the lenses can be corrected and restored using a special compound and procedure.

Many of these fixes are only temporary and if not done properly, you may damage your lenses, leaving you with a very costly repair to replace the headlight assemblies.

If you do have clouded headlight lenses, I recommend having a professional check them first. Some lenses get clouded because moisture gets trapped inside the lens. Also, ask the shop to check the headlight alignment, this will put the headlights back in focus after the headlight lens restoration.
