Regular Tyre Check

Get useful maintenance and safety tips for tubeless tires including benefits of correct air pressure, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, tread wear.

Tyres are among the most over- looked parts of a car. But the truth is that an under-infl ated, over-infl ated, worn down or misaligned tyre can be extremely dangerous, particularly in hot weather conditions. Tyre pressures changes with the rising temperatures – approximately one to two PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) for every 10-degree increase in outside air temperature. Consult your owner’s manual or the sidewall of your Tyre to see what your tyre pressure should be and check it with a hand pressure gauge. An under-infl ated tyre bulges out- ward and puts undue pressure on the sidewalls of the tyre. With enough heat and pressure, that tyre will eventually blow. An over- inflated tyre on the other hand, makes less contact with the road and can lead to hydroplaning in wet conditions. Also, never forget your spare tyre. There’s no point in having a spare tyre if your spare tyre is in worse condition than the rest. Make sure the spare is properly inflated.
